Joseph J. Soulamon, LMT
Joseph J. Soulamon brings more than 30 years of experience in holistic health, therapeutic care, and wellness practice. A licensed massage therapist and holistic healthcare provider, Joseph has founded and scaled multiple wellness practices and brings deep expertise in preventive health, adaptive wellness, and workforce well-being.
As Board Chair, Joseph provides strategic leadership supporting the Foundation’s health equity, wellness, and community-based programming.

Board Director at Large
John T. Applewhite Jr., MBA
John T. Applewhite, Jr. brings experience in organizational leadership and community service, with a focus on strengthening families and supporting underserved communities. As the father of a son on the spectrum, he has developed shareable approaches in neurodiversity inclusion in community-based programming and life coaching for disabled, elderly and challenged individuals.
As a nutrition, fitness, and life coach, John is focused on preventing childhood obesity and Type 2 diabetes through community education and intervention. John contributes strategic insight to governance and supports initiatives focused on entrepreneurship, youth development, wellness access, and community partnerships.

Board Secretary
Yunaka Baham, BSN, RN
Yunaka Baham is a Registered Nurse with more than 25 years of healthcare experience, including extensive work in home health and community-based care. This background provides strong insight into patient needs across hospital, home-based and community health settings.
As a healthcare consultant, Yunaka advises organizations on regulatory compliance, quality improvement, and operational best practices, with a focus on improving outcomes for vulnerable populations such as veterans, seniors, and individuals with disabilities.
In the role of Board Secretary, Yunaka supports strong governance through expertise in clinical documentation, compliance, and outcomes tracking. This experience strengthens the Foundation’s accountability, recordkeeping, and reporting capacity for funders and partners.

Marvin L. Miles, MBA
Marvin Miles contributes a 30-year background in leadership, operational oversight and financial management, supporting the Foundation’s mission to expand access to health, wellness, and nutrition services.
As a stroke survivor, Marvin brings an invaluable lived experience perspective to the Foundation's governance. Marvin’s experience strengthens program sustainability, accountability, and long-term community impact.

Nicholas Burton
Nicholas Burton brings experience in organizational development, community engagement and service leadership. As a military veteran, Nicholas offers a valuable perspective on serving veterans, families, and underserved populations.
As a prostate cancer survivor, his experience navigating recovery has given him firsthand insight into the challenges faced by individuals dealing with chronic illness and the critical role of holistic, natural approaches to healing. Nicholas supports the Foundation’s work in preventative health, youth programming and inclusive community services.
